Savannah Carmel

As discalced Carmelite Nuns of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel, we are women called to be daughters of the Church living according to the Gospel. Our Carmelite vocation is a response of love that is completely centered on a relationship with Christ in prayer and contemplation. Therefore, our main service in the church is unceasing prayer, especially for all priests and the entire Church. In following our Teresian charism we live both an eremitic (solitary) and cenobitic (community) life faithful to the spirit and traditions of our Carmelite Order and accepting the challenge of ongoing renewal.

Mass is offered daily and is open to the public. To find out the time of Mass please call 912-925-8505. The Mass times are given on the answering machine.

Every July 14 – 15 – 16 is the Triduum to Our Lady of Mount Carmel at the Carmelite Monastery. It consists of the three evenings with a special Mass and homily each evening at 7:00 p.m. and is open to the public.
